Oneironaut at EVENT HORIZON

oneironaut.jpg

Since a couple of months I've been involved in MAM TOR[tm] Publishing, a new independent comic book publisher from the UK, where I'm responsible for a lot of the design and branding of Mam Tor... Its been a blast so far - working with very cool and talented people; and I get the opportunity to create some stories of my own...

A sneak peek at something I'm currently working on: Oneironaut, a 6 page Sci-Fi short I'm currently writing and illustrating/designing, that will be published in EVENT HORIZON - Mam Tor's first title, a stand alone 120pg. anthology produced by some of the industry greats along side some incredible unknown talent.  It has been produced for the love of the medium outside of the mainstream, and features fantasy, sci-fi and horror stories, etc,... which will be released in May 2005.

God? A designer?

god.jpg

Assuming that's true, God's design deliverable would have included 99% of his species being now extinct, fewer than one-third of conceptions culminating in live births and... the male nipples! Great article in the New York Times (requires sign-in.)

God, if you're reading this - I hear they're hiring at Microsoft.

karlssonwilker.jpg

The Curious Boym was a fun and easy project for all of us. We were never stressed out, because we started soon enough. And Constantin, the industrial designer this book is about, would come by our office every three to four weeks over a period of eights months with cold been and we would talk. We would look at what we did and explain what we wanted to do. We would discuss our differnt views on things and in the end we would be drunk. The publisher left us alone. The book was finished when we stopped meeting."
