“After years of creating printed matter for clients and ourselves, it just seemed like a natural progression to extend our love of the medium to collaborating with other artists who inspire us.” - GH

Their artist series will include quarterly publications in editions of 1200, with 1000 marked for retail sales. Each book will have a unique appearance with varying content, paper, and page count and hopes to evolve towards an environmentally resourceful print process utilizing recyclable paper and natural-based inks. The first book of the series, a collection of artwork from Brooklyn illustrator J.Penry, “Castles and Christians,” will be available September 16, 2006.

GHava has produced a body of work that runs from the art direction and design of Crispin Porter + Bogusky's new book, HOOPLA, and advertising campaigns for Triple Five Soul to projects for NOKIA, Coca-Cola and Adidas. They created the initial corporate identity for Gwen Stefani's mega-label, L.A.M.B, and created the cover art for Prefuse 73's "Surrounded By Silence," which was included in The Greatest Album Covers of All Time (Scott, Grant, Barry Miles, and Johnny Morgan. New York, NY: Collins & Brown, 2005). Their fearless aesthetic and multidisciplinary approach to design resulted in GHava being cited as one of 23 "groundbreaking studios and individuals" in Infiltrate: The Front Lines of The New York Design Scene (Gelman, Alexander, Nic Musolino, Helen Walters. New York, NY: Ginko Press, 2004).

DESCRIPTION
A 20-page promo magazine for the first non-dry gin in the world: WET by Beefeater. The publication was created by DressLab, designed by Albert Folch, and distributed in the coolest fashion stores and clubs.

PROCESS
To promote this drink, in every WET issue, a creative is invited and given a theme, to develop an idea that links it to the brand. For the first issue, Serial Cut™ was chosen to do so, having the Night as a theme. All photographed elements were REAL, so the final result was a photographic collage, with elements that had been scanned, printed and cut (falcon, deer) and Helvetica typography made from plastic and real elements (pink strips, straws, ice cubes, glasses, diskette...). This collage could have easily been done with Photoshop, but was actually done in a photography studio, and was barely retouched digitally. It’s something like “photographed graphic design”, in a sophisticated blue and magenta atmosphere.
